Dont Overthink

I have to constantly remind myself to not overthink things. Make a plan, write it down, and then clear the mind.

When I’m away from doing my craft, I tend to think about it a lot when I’m at my day job. Sometimes it makes me despise being there because I get excited thinking about all the possiblities of things I could be creating instead.

In the end, noone wins from overthinking. Its not a healthy human habit and it can damage more than help.

I become anxious, excited, and hyped up, only to fall short when I do have the time or when I expect more from the project than what I receive. Constantly daydreaming about the perfect artworks I can create or all the other things I can do doesn’t help when I’m stuck at work; it just reminds me of the harsh reality of my situation.

I’m starting to learn to relax and handle task by task, and do what I can, when I can.

Overthinking helps no one…

This. Tending to zone out, and live in the future or a future scenario in your head, or even a past moment, and especially the present when you wish you were somewhere else. Overall getting stuck in your own head is something that I think requires self-control/awareness to keep it in check. Worrying less and learning to relax advice is solid.
